Saturday Night Dance Party!

This is how I am feeling right now.

Dance like no one's watching.

Sing like no one's listening.

"Love Rollercoaster" - ooh ooh ooh ooh!  (TRIVIA - on the charts this week in 1976; I was 3 months away from graduating college!)

PS - Wolfman Jack; such a great voice!  And woofy too! :)

First of all....WolfMan Jack! WOW that was a slap in the face from the past! HOWWWWL!
Then Ohio Players Live and a speeded up version of Love Roller Coaster....I think maybe a little "Speed" was influencing the tempo there!
    Thanks AM!

  2. OMFG! Girlfriend, this may have been your best SNDP song choice yet!

I am neither confirming nor denying the persistent rumors that I have had sex with every member of The Ohio Players. But I did have a pleasurable flashback when I saw the drummer... :-)

    Love,
    Janey

  5. All that sparkle must have been enough to get Liberace drooling - not to mention the bare-chested drummer!

    2. I wonder if it's as well known over there as it is here that the great L sued a British newspaper for suggesting that he was a 'homosexual' (oh, shock, horror!) - and he won! That was back in the days (late 1950s, I think) when ALL gay activity was illegal here - and probably the vast majority(?) of the United States too.
After he died the same newspaper tried to get his estate to repay the damages he'd won, and failed. About £40,000, I think (at that time around $100,000) which would have been quite substantial 50-odd years ago.

    3. I did not know that! wow! to be "out" in the 50s and 60s was a kiss of death for actors/performers; think rock hudson, tab hunter, paul lynde, anthony perkins. thank dog times are changing for the better!
