So whilst I indulge in a cock-a-tail (or three) with Mistress Maddie's spirit hovering about, I decided to post some scenes about the house.
Miss Oreo tries to beat the heat by airing out her undercarriage
Miss Gigi likes it better in the sun on the porch
And Miss Nyla likes her bed in the air-conditioned living quarters
It's there to inspire you to "make good art"
In the backyard, the hosta is blooming
Black-eyed Susans (why not Veronicas, or Mildreds)
Day lillies
Belladonna
Wild geraniums
My grandmother used to call these "wild strawberries"; have never eaten one; don't know if they are poison or not
In the garden, the cukes are a-growing
As are the tomatoes
And the cherry (grape) tomatoes
And the peppers
A cucumber flower (with a curly cue); just like Walt's!
My "tequila sunrise" shawl in progress
Now time for a refresher cock-a-tail; gotta go unload the dishwasher, start a load of laundry, and throw ingredients in the breadmaker (1 loaf of honey oatmeal coming up!).
I have never seen so much pussy being aired out!!!!! Beautiful garden, and bounty arriving. I must admit I miss read the post title. I though it said sluty. For me may be perfect. The Mistress may be a tramp, but never a prostitute!!! And try streaking naked through sprinklers, that should cool you off XOXO!
ReplyDeleteand after spouse and I take off our pants...all pussy all the time! ;-)
Deleteit has taken a long time for the spouse's veggies to start this season; do the cukes remind you of any of the houseboyz?
you would know about "sluty", but you are NOT a cheap-ass ho like those kartrashians!
Like Miss Oreo, I, too, like to air out my undercarriage, though there have been times when it's gotten me arrested OR a date.
ReplyDeleteI'd pay good money to see that! ;-)
DeleteThe term "tequila sunrise" evokes a lot of very warm memories......I like the shawl.
ReplyDeleteMiss Oreo strongly resembles my cat Scratch when she's trying to beat the heat. I feel like rolling on the floor too, but I'd never be able to get up again. Advancing age is a bitch......
There's nothing more pleasing than a summer garden. Unless, of course, it's a shirtless summer gardener.
I now have a red triangle going on the shawl.
DeleteI too cannot roll on the floor due to arthritis. s'ok, I'mma not missing anything.
spouse sometimes gardens shirtless, but you can see better on grindr!
Loverly flowers (and cats - but don't tell Abby I said that...)
ReplyDeleteI'll never tell abby. hope the gnomes are well and drunk this friday evening.
DeleteNice flowers 'n veg!
ReplyDeletethank you, dear! hope you are enjoying your holiday!
DeleteDid someone say Honey Oatmeal???? Your garden is so pretty and dainty. I too have a vegetable garden, and everything seems late here too, except for the cherry tomatoes.
ReplyDeleteI did say honey oatmeal bread! great for breakfast toast or sammiches. and all natural too (water, yeast, flour, honey, oatmeal, olive oil, dry milk powder, salt). no preservatives, HFCS, GMOs, etc. and costs about 50 cents to make!
DeleteGreat garden pics! And kittehs, too. Enjoy the heat!
ReplyDeleteAHA! you saw my linky-luv, didn't you? :)
Deletehave a nice weekend!
Isn't it sad that cats can't take off their coats? Must be like wearing an eskimo-style parka all year round, even when indoors. I think you ought to spend more time fanning them, A.M., which you can do that while imbibing your tropical refreshments.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what the pussies would look like if they took off their coats? don't worry about all of us staying cool, dear raybeard; my house has central air conditioning. set at 74 degrees F, we all stay cool whilst outside it's blazing bloody hot!
Deletenow at 3a, I am returning to bed; everyone else in the house is asleep.
Nighty-night then, A.M. But you can look forward to the morrow - and I can tell you it's a good 'un, and I know 'cos I'm already here..
ReplyDeletemorning again, luv. almost 7a here. got me coffee. not ready to kick arse yet, cause I am not fully awake.
DeleteWelcome to Saturday, A.M.! (But it was already that when you previously posted.) Anyway, when you get round to 'kicking arse' just make sure you there aren't any of your little babies within foot-reach!
DeleteThe kitties looks so peaceful and comfy, and Miss Nyla looks so much like my Torrie.
ReplyDeleteand they are staying cool whilst looking so damn cute! have a great weekend!
DeleteAwww, that cat is a cutie-pie!
ReplyDeleteAnd congrats on the plants being successful. :)
