Saturday Night Dance Party!

This is how I am feeling right now.

Dance like no one's watching.

Sing like no one's listening.

"Just The Two Of Us" - we can make it if we try!

PS - HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO BLOBBY!

PPS - And a hearty welcome to new friend Fit Studs!  I think we are ALL going to be spending some time perusing THIS website full of dee-lish men!

A gently soothing song like this is just what I needed right now. feeling a bit groggy after a largely sleepless night due to getting up numerous times to check if someone (whom I shall not dignify with a name) was outside waiting to be let in, which he eventually was at 4 a.m., after being absent for SIXTEEN hours. (As you see, I was counting them!) Anyway, same old story, so that's enough of that.

So, I suppose you're tripping the usual light fantastic, waiting on hubby and the 'kids', making sure that they want for nothing? Yes, thought so.

Nothing special going on here. Nights are conspicuously starting to draw in now. Hope that there's a bit more of 'true' Summer to come as, so far, this year hasn't been anything to get excited about.
Now, must check out Mr Fit Studs. Could be that we have similar tastes. ;-)

    Have a jollier-than-usual w/e!

    1. good evening, king; almost 7:30p here. met up with a friend today for knitting/eating/drinking. a good day.

tomorrow I go grocery shopping for cat food; we humans already have enough in the house to eat.

I have been taking care of my neighbor's kitties this past week whilst they went to the seacoast on holiday. 2 brothers; one a brown tabby like nyla, the other a solid black color like (your naughty one who shall not be named).

I have noticed we are down at least 45 minutes of daylight now. boooooooooooo!

and I bet you find someone to your liking on the new friend's website!

The reaction of your furry 'residents' to the two 'interlopers' must be interesting. Bet there's mutual suspicion and distrust abounding all over. But you'll be sorry when they have to return ti their home nest, I'm sure - or maybe you're just feeding them while they still have the run of their own house?

Unusually, my B stayed in all last night, sleeping on a kitchen top where I do all my food. But I let him stay there as he'll be off and out at any excuse - and so I managed to get a good night's sleep.

I see that Dr Spo's complaining about the high temps. Some people just want to moan, moan, moan! Wish he'd waft some of the heat this-a-ways.

I checked on Mr Stud's website. Maybe our tastes don't quite coincide but, hell, life is more than just where ones favoured predilections lie, right?. So shall be keeping an eye on it.

      Have a happy Sun.

    3. "you're just feeding them while they still have the run of their own house" - this is correct! we have keys to each others houses; we feel/water each others cats when out of town. after 15 years, we know we can trust each other as neighbors.

  5. Good morning, and this is the kind of music I love listening to. It's timeless.

It's going to be very hot today. It should hit 100 again today, but some neighborhoods may experience rolling blackouts due to power consumption. Let's just say I'm happy I'm not living in one of those areas and leave it at that.

  7. Cool, soothing, comfortable music for a languid August afternoon. I'm in a do-nothing mood, and so are my cats.

  8. I wonder what put you into relaxed contented mood of this song. Did someone give you a massage?

    1. nope, no massage. the sax player is grover washington jr, a philly boy, so RECOGNIZE YO! plus it's a different beat.

  11. I seem to be an oddity, but music that is slow and "relaxing" tends to make me tense...sigh, yeah I have no idea why. But loud screamo music can calm me right on down.

Hope today finds you well and happy. You knit also? Cool. What things do you like to knit?

    1. oh well, perhaps next week's tune will be more to your liking.

I knit so I don't kill people. it's a great tension reliever. shawls, hats, scarves, sweaters, blankets have fallen from my needles. one-of-a-kind art pieces, never to be made again.

  12. So you don't kill folks? Wow, thats some serious stress. I liked the song, it just locks up my chest and makes me nervous... Play what you like, and how you are feeling at the moment.

    1. my stress comes from dealing with stupid people; there are too many of them and they breed! thank the dogs and cats my followers are intelligent sorts!

and BTW, ALL my knitting friends say the same phrase (we knit so we don't kill people). it's a thing with us!

I will ALWAYS play what music I feel. and I am having some ice cream and getting ready to listen to the baseball game.

  14. Always loved this song. It's so inspirational. I remember Will Smith actual did a cover of it and, won't lie, I enjoyed it more than the original (it was focused on him and his son).
